Anyone know what this was for ? small vase or was it to hold cigarettes perhaps on a counter top or bar ? up for grabs if anyone wants it ,

The "Ariel" brand was introduced by the Gallaher Group in 1965 as a superb new filter cigarette. Not sure what your container was used for, more than likely for cigarettes??
