I posted a few of these style of tins in the old forum and honestly, these are not as good, but I am trying to keep things going, so they might be off interest to some.

Dad would smoke the contents and then "the kiddies" could put their school lunches in the empty container. I can imagine the outrage if junior showed up at school these days with lunch in an empty tobacco container.

Here's one I just got off Ebay. The first two photos are mine and are a true representation of the way it looks. The third photo is from the Ebay listing. The seller had obviously adjusted the contrast and the colour making it look better than it really is. Luckily I picked it up for next to nothing so I didn't bother kicking up a stink but I am amazed at the amount of times sellers try to pull fast ones.

I have bought a tin that showed up with no lid. The seller told me "I didn't say in the listing that it had a lid".

I have bought a tin that was listed with only one photo showing it in great condition and stating that the other sides were similar. It showed up with most of the paint missing from one side.

I recently received a tin that wasn't even the same as the one shown in the listing. The seller told me I could send the tin back at my own expense. Because of higher postal rates here in Canada it was going to cost me $15 to get a $20 refund.

Still, I love my Ebay. I would be lucky to have 10% of my collection if it weren't for Ebay and I have managed to scoop some amazing items and sometimes for a fraction of their value.
