 I thought that it may be fun to examine the ebay speak that we've probably all fallen foul of now and then. It can be like a foreign language. Here are some translations of a few phrases that ebayers use so that we can be sure of exactly what they mean.

Fairly good condition   -  totally knackered

Some rust and scratches  -  don't even bother!

Rarely seen in this condition  -  It's usually better!

Not sure of the age  -  It's modern

In absolutely mint condition  -  repro

Been in the loft for the last 30 years  -  from carboot sale yesterday

Belonged to my Grandmother  -  what do you think?

First time I've ever seen this sign  -  I deal in old dolls

Do you have a buy it now price?  -  Can I rob you?

 

Just a few off the top of my head, any more to add?
