I've had a bright but scratchy version of this Epps tin for years. Been looking for a better version for quite a while.

This one was posted on ebay in January and I intuited that the seller didn't value it greatly.

I don't often do this, but I thought I would make him an early offer, instead stupidly and greedily I mailed him and asked if he had a buy it now price, thinking I would get it for a song. I'm a bit on the tight side.

Half an hour later I checked my mail and saw that he had put it up as a buy it now for £8.90.

Of course it was already gone by then.

So sad.

Shame Hilbert,
A well known dealer said to me you should get your hand in your pocket and pay well for the things you really want.
By the time another comes around you may not have the money or the price inevitably will have gone up.
Bad luck on the Epps I would like one too!
Next year I hope the hunting is better and dont forget to get your hand down....!
Cheers,
Jez.

I missed this one a while back , All set to bid at the last minute .

With about 25 minutes to go , I switched to the Premier League , Arsenal and Chelsea live ... One I was looking forward to .
I'd simply jump back online at the right time and the tin would be mine.....

Of course that was the last I thought of it untill half time ....

It was however a cracker of a game so I  didn't beat myself up too much , and the tin did go high.

I've done it again since then , too impatient to sit at the computer for 4 minutes to wait for an item to end .. " I'll just get up and make a cup of tea  "  .. .. You know how  that ends ...

I'll keep an eye out for you Relics, I've seen a few go through my local auction over the years.

What did the one you missed out on sell for??

 Thanks Gordo

I think that one went for somewhere around 225 GBP .

In Australia , a good condition example can be around 200 AU upwards

Cheers

Relics

I've been distracted or even fallen asleep at the computer and missed the auctions end more than once. I came to with 6 seconds to go a couple of weeks ago and just got my bid in in time to win.

I guess I should get some sniping software.

I missed this little cutie a few years ago, been looking for another ever since.

Jez

That does sound like something dealers would say. :)

But yeah, some opporunities come only once.

Cheers

I dug so deep on this one that I ran out of pocket. There's always someone with longer arms and deeper pockets.
