Joe, some people in my experience are too much trouble. This guy doesn't sound too interested if he won't even let you see the signs. |

Hi fleece,this man takes
delight in tormenting me,if he was offered £50,000 the lot he would worry in case the buyer sold them for £50,020.A total waste of time,,but someone will get them oneday. |

Unbelievable, there could be an entire sign collection in mint condition in his barn! The fact that he's put them all in one place would make it easier to nab in my opinion! It's worth taking serious risks to get good signs! |

Hello Enamels 1000 So the farmer has moved all his kit into his house. Sounds like he is seriously spooked then. Now you say he delights in tormenting you. Then you've got Enameljoy contemplating a robbery. It's starting to look a bit messy now so maybe it's time to walk .away.I admire yor perseverance but sometimes some things are just not meant to be. |

For some people its all bout having something so nobody else can. A local farmer to me has a bottle tip on his land said he would rather smash all the bottles against a wall than let anyone else have them and they are just in a barn cracking in the frost! Al. |

For the aussie collectors and in relation to the topic. I live in a small country town called Kiama where there is only one petrol station.up until a few years ago i use to pass a 4f x 4f king neptune sign every time i went to pay for the petrol. No one pinches anything around here The owner built the garage in 1954 and still works 7 days a week even today at the same garage. After living here for 30 years i have got to know the stingy old mug who says the back shed is full of old signs and stuff including an old austin (brand new and never even been used) he owns 6 house all around the old garage and is now about 85.the good thing is he said one day i can have a look in his shed and see what i want to buy.hopefully he remembers before the dementia gets to him--David |

As soon as you show interest in buying what someone owns they immediately think its worth a queens ransom! In my experience its best to just try and get whatever it is in the dead of night... |
