These two bottles were passed to me in the pub last night to identify and date.

I went to refer to my Blakeman's Review only to find that I have lent it out.

Tha stoneware bottle I assume is ginger-beer and has a vague impressed mark beginning with L  and a transfer St Oswald logo.

The "Finest London Gin" bottle has impressed on the back G F & A Brown & Sons, Wine Merchant. The label is self explanatory. (Did London Gin supply bulk for local merchants to bottle)??

Any help you bottle collectors can give would be appreciated.

 Hey there,

The top one is a ginger beer bottle a dates around the WWI era or maybe  little earlier.

The second looks to be form the 1920's 30's and would have been a bottled used for splitting up a barrel by a small supplier in my opinion.

Cheers

Al.
