Hi Hilbert,

That is a very nice and rare tin. Harvey & Davy were founded in 1762 and based at Hanover Works, Newcastle-on Tyne. The business was taken over by Gallaher Ltd in 1905.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I figured it would get £500 to £600.

Only 2 people contested over the £500 but the top bidder had put in 2 more bids over the winning bid, so I guess it still had more in it.

Do you see this sort of price on a baccy tin very often?
