Thanks for your kind comments. The sign on the left came from the UK about 18 months ago and was completely wrecked, I had to weld a bit onto the top, clean up the face, which was covered in a sort of rust looking substance, and the whole thing only cost me 30 quid plus postage. Very happy about that of course but it was knackered when I got it.
Of late I have restored 10 signs and I've got six to go. I took several restored signs to the Ballarat Swap Meet over the weekend but as soon as I mentioned they had been restored the prospective buyers dropped tham like a hotcake. Most buyers would rather have something with holes, dents, bits missing, bent edges and then they have something they describe as "rustic". Whacko the did eh!
