Another nice tobacco tin from the company James Hargreaves of Blackburn which I have recently purchased. You don't see much advertising/tins from this company and so was very pleased to get this one and in very nice condition.

Hi kreemy_nut-bb and broadie,

Glad you like the tin and not sure if they did a 1oz as I have never seen one. We did do a piece on this company a while back and I have posted pictures of their shop jars which were purchased for Blackburn Museum and which the Curator kindly allowed me to photograph some time ago.

I thought I would share these photo's which were sent to me of James Hargreaves shops in Blackburn. When you consider the amount od items displayed in the windows and on the shelves and in cabinets, the range and stock must have been tremendous. The quality of the fitted cabinets with the bow fronted glass are superb and built by real craftsmen.
