Hi hasbeen,

Not one I have come across before and as you say looks like a hybrid between "Hero" & "Tortoiseshell". I also agree made for UK market.

As you already know - the tin is Danish and produced by E.Nobel. They had factories in Copenhagen and Nykøbing Falster in Southern Denmark.

On one of my two variations of the tin is also written "Dresden". I suppose that Nobel for a short period had a branch in Germany. The tin is rare in Denmark, but I have come across it 3 or 4 times in Germany.

Though it designwise is a mixture of two British tins, I am quite sure that it was produced for the German market not the English.
