Hi Chelt

Think your  I + C  is a Boundary Stone. Quite common in large open estates of years gone past.

Love the boundary stone.

Can't believe those players are still there. Had some great gear out of those shops over the years too.

Hello to all fellow collectors,

Yesterday, whilst travelling up to Maryborough, in central Victoria I took a few snaps of some signs in situ on the side of a little shop/restaurant. I had known they were there fore some years but never taken a picture.

I called in to see the owner as I knew that they had been totally flooded out a month ago and the shop had a metre of water through it all .He lost all his restaurant equipment and a mountain of very early adevertising that was in cupboards  nd drawers etc. It's a lovely old shop with lots of nostalgic decor throughout and it turns out he is an Englishman who has decided ti live here.

When the restaurant gets going again he'd welcome ant visitors who may wish to come for a look and more importantly book a seat at his restauarnt so he can get his business going again,

Regards, George Grant

Hello Chris,

If you would like to give me a ring when you are visiting Ken Arnold, Carisbrook is just down the road a tad and so am I if you'd like to come and have a gander at my shearing museum and signage etc.

My phone number is 0354239450. If you'd like to see a bit more of the Carisbrook shop/restaurant please go to www.carolinesofcarisbrook.com and you can see much more there about their store etc.

Following this post I will put some pictures up of the signs on the shop. Some are original and some are repro but none the less they all look OK, in my opinion,

Regards, George Grant
