Found the mirror yesterday at a Car Boot. Anybody know what Mene Towels were? Were they the terry variety or the ladies sanitary variety. I guess 1920s and the best bit was it cost £3 and the little framed sunlight insert 50p. Good booting yesterday, that's probably it for the year now!

I think it is a wonderful item Jezmond. I know nothing about advertising mirrors but I would think it is a pretty rare item you have there. Nice bevelled mirror in a good frame with attractive lettering. What's not to like? Personaly, I get a kick out of the odd things in life. It might of hung in the ladies facilities of a pub or a club. Just imagine all the women that looked at their reflection in this mirror as they applied their make-up or brushed their hair. It certainly makes for a nicer scenario than the drunken sot's in the men's loo gazing into a mirror with a condom ad.
