Yes so would I ALI,  but the total price would have been a lot more than that! almost double.

!00% agree with Fleece and Hlibert, I would not have bid if Griffon had not posted.

Thank you griffo for posting that super sign - great image - but cheap because it aint wholly UK!!!!

Have said it before - BBR's BEST buyers DO NOT HAVE A COMPUTER.

Catalogues all online (for those too tight to subscribe), no printing, no packing, no posting - lose all the top end buyers?

Meanwhile the October Extravaganza cataslogue is now live online: the-saleroom.com - UK auctions - BBR.... view "all"....... splendiferous.

Rumour has it, that the girl developed a two pack a day habit, that's probably why you bid on it Ciggy.

Just realised this is the sign I came second in the bidding for, after thinking I'd spotted a bargain for sale in the States which wouldn't appeal much to collectors over there. Looking at the buyer's bidding history, it may well have been purchased by someone in Germany. Im over it now, but at the time I was gutted to have been outbid for what is relatively early concave sign with a great image in decent nick, and the French wording 'Savon' doesn't bother me in the slightest, not even from an investment point of view, as there seems to be a healthy market in France for their better signs.
