Not seen a strange's sign for sale in 20 years ... really don't think the lettering makes any difference to rarity to be honest, lovely sign .. thnks for sharing these pictures Marcus .

Why would you say the lettering makes no difference to rarity? There are always more and less rare versions of signs based on varieties of colour/image/lettering etc.
I've only ever seen one version of the Strange's sign above; and quite a few of the other kind. So it seems to me there are far fewer of one kind than the other.

Think u miss the point .. when there are so few of these signs about then either version is as rare as the other .. collector would be equally happy with either regardless of lettering .. IMO

Well I agree I don't really understand your point....given that there are so few of these signs around...say 100...then if only 1 of them has a lettering variation then that one will be even rarer than the other 99. And therefore even more sought-after/valuable etc etc.
