Interesting items Lummox.

Strange combination of religous and military symbolism with a touch of royalty. Are they Masonic?

I like the one with the geometry theme. Is that a metronome in the middle?

Are they rare, valuable?

Hi Hilbert

Yes masonic, Its a ' plumb bob ' all stone mason themed, the paste jewels 1840's Rose Croix, the one on the left is particularly rare.

The geometry themed jewel is about 1800 by THOMAS HARPER ( the main man for early jewels and is very rare and sought after)

The bottom jewels are subscription jewels for when freemasons hall in london was built in memory to freemasons who died in the great war 1914 - 1919. Right side common ' million memorial jewel ' for donating 10 guineas, left hand side VERY RARE in gold for donating 100 guineas. Central jewel is the " Hallstone Jewel " this was given to the lodge .......if on average every single member had contributed at least 10 guineas. Very rare in Private hands as issued to the Lodge not individuals.

Yes unfortunately they are expensive !

Cheers lummox

Hi Lummox,

I'm not sure if these are your sort of thing but they obviously have a Masonic connection.

I'm researching these for a friend who recently inherited them.

The large jug is by Dixon & Austin, Sunderland (Garrison) Pottery, circa 1820-26

The small pitcher is Staffordshire Creamware, circa 1790

Any ideas on value?
