Oh and I had a meat pie today!! Does this count as a pork pie? Was fricken deliciuos

Welcome Mick.

No Mick it doesn't I'm  afraid.

The following pictures may help. However I, nor anyone else for that matter, can take any responsibility whatsoever for whatever contents are shoved into those pies and the resultant affects on your digestive system

Ah, now that's called 'Black pudding' and is made from pigs blood and is high in iron content and tastes great (and safe!). If you venture up to Scotland and Ireland you'll come across 'White pudding' (not so good).

I hope you both are having a good trip. How long do you have? Which antique fairs are you heading to?

I wisk I could go to these but ill be gone by then. I did make it to Portobello Road, Kempton fair and some misc shops in london...did find some enamels but nothing that would fit in suitcase and nothing that would have been worth the hassle of mailing back.

Oh and hey...today I had clotted cream...disgusting artery clogging cholestetal buttery sh*t. Who came up with this stuff?

Mick, I was born in London, worked for 25 years almost twenty years back. Sadly you may not feel you are in England's capital city. Overcrowded like never before, trains, buses and the tube jam packed, everyone munching on fast / franchise food or on their phones. Dirty, expensive, and a complete lack of manners, it takes a terrorist attack to see the human side of people. Standing at a rail terminal at the people and many looked liked they could do with a good scrub ! Its hell nowadays.

Visit Bath or York or Edinburgh.

"Who came up with this stuff?" Your ancestors! I'm assuming they're Brits of course.

Yes true enough! And I was able to make it out to Bath for a brief tour, I posted a pic of a Nestles Ghist Sign in the general advertising column here just tge other day. We have lots if these Ghost Signs in Cansda, but they need to be restored or they will soon be lost to history
