So what does everyone make of this then? Uses unusual pale colours, but think it's probably 'right'!

Likewise, never seen it before. It looks to have faded somewhat, but even so it’s still a cracking sign. I would love to see one without any fading.

Must be pretty early with only 60 prize metals won.

There's a lot going on, it's a bit busy but maybe that's the charm. It seems too detailed for something that needs to grab attention quickly outdoor. Interesting thing nonetheless

The enamel seems a bit 'thin' - too much of a risk without being able to handle it. I have asked for a photo of the back so let's see

Thanks Jimbo. See the seller added the images before ending the listing early! Unusual to see little more than a tiny trace of the original enamel on the back of a sign!

Something a bit weird going on. Unless I'm imagining it the original listing had a picture of the back of the sign and it was different - a lot more grey metal and enamel wash.

My opinion on this sign from the pics i have seen of it are as follows..rare looking sign..looks early..pastel colours..60 medals and so on...Hope im wrong for the new owners sake,But for such an early sign why is the enamel so thin? Also why is it not on thick pig iron? The back would be me more pitted and not just rust..

And why is this photo of the back of the sign different from the one in the original listing?

Are you sure? I'm almost sure the original listing had a picture of the back that had grey metal and enamel wash all over it.

Yes I'm sure it's proper - just faded. And I still can't understand why when the listing was first posted it had a photo of the back which was different from the one above.
