Hey all

 

Does anyone have a method to remove cement from a sign, i dont trust brick acid.

Have you tried concrete and mortar dissolver? Same stuff used to clean hand tools with dried concrete. Try a small area and see

I'll be interested to hear what others say! I don't know of a magic solution, but I've used acids, with a scalpel blade, and a great deal of time and patience! The results aren't always great either; if it's on the back that doesn't matter so much, but on the front you can find it's at least taken off the gloss from the enamel, and sometimes discoloured it too!

Good luck with it! How about some before and after pictures then?!!

Warm soapy water..leave to soak..Stanley blade is good to pick at it..vitrous nearly always underneath is dull..like SS said nice to see before an after pic..
