Good morning,

Any identification on this bottle would be great.  It has a seam around the shoulder with one going to the lip.  Bottom part is seamless. The lip looks like there is a deliberate indentation as if for pouring (either that or it's a flaw!)

The glass is heavy, it's full of airbubbles and other little imperfections.

The base has four raised dimply things! (for want of a better word!)

The bottles measures 24cm in height.  it looks black but when held to the light is a 'bottle' green.

Any ideas?  many thanks guys.

Angie

I always liked these 3 piece mould bottles with their free blown necks.

It's the first one I've seen!! Where have I been all my life! Ah well, guess it's well older than me, so good reason. LOL. Thanks for your comment Al.
I am slowly but surely learning how to identify now.

Hey there ' Two Sandwiches '

Get yerself copies of a couple of the 1970's bottle books by the doyen of early dump digging Edward Fletcher.

Fairly basic but some good pictures, info and lots to learn. Also whereabouts are you ? Join your local bottle club

Like my new take on sarnia2! LOL
Thanks for info. We are based in south west scotland... a very rural place.!!
I'll certainly check locally if we have a bottle club. I wouldn't be SO sure!

Scotland is great for dump digging. Best to wander around water courses in local towns and ask about. Builders and farmers are often good for info.
