Description on each sign is very well worded..

The back is still a give away. At least the seller does say 'Unknown older reproduction' which i guess is something. But as you say, made to catch people out.

Some people believe this Hudson's sign to be genuine.
There have been discussions about its authenticity or not on a previous thread.

What do you think Hinkslamps?? Come on lets hear Your opinion on the above sign..what do You really really think of its so called authenticity???

These people that make or sell repro fakes are shitbags, its that simple.

I'm not sure it's obviously a repro.
And also a black back doesn't necessarily mean repro - lots of signs from the 30s had plain black backs.
I think it's possible this could be a later version of the old design.
And I remember on a thread in March discussing an identical sign to this and it divided opinion. I thought it might be genuine; Steve the Tyke seemed sure it was; and I remember you Banjo Boy in March reluctantly accepted it might be.
So in my opinion the jury is out on this one.

Well if it is a repro I wouldn't say it's wrong in every way.
It's a much more convincing repro than most of the stuff you see around.

But I hereby do concede that in all likelihood it's a repro.

Well I guess it is....or not.
On further examination it' s not quite the same as the one I mentioned above.
So I'll come down off the fence and say that in all likelihood it may or may not be a repro.
