I’ve got an old Underground sign dating from about 1906 which has a paper label on the back of it saying how because the sign is enamel the screws shouldn’t be done too tightly….Fleece maybe I could email you a pic as I can’t upload on here?

Had a few Stephens' enamel signs, and Nectar Tea signs, with paper labels, or the remains of, on the reverse side. Some of the Nectar Teas had the actual name of the stations written on them -  Gravesend and Turnham Green, in lovely 'copperplate' script, just done with a pencil.
