This Ogden's "St Bruno" show card is very unusual and not one that I have seen before. The centre has a sticker on the door and I am not sure what it is covering. Possible price change. Anyone seen it before?? Date on the card is 1908.

Hi Bacco,
to my knowledge this card was issued prior to 1909. There are repros of the sign ( so look closely)
The original I had, had a packet affixed to the front ( perhaps where your sticker is) I do remember the door opened on the one I had ( mine was from the Doncaster find) so no doubt of it's authenticity.
A picture of the back of yours would help, cheers rusty

Hi rustytins,

Thanks for comments and observations regarding this showcard. I think you right regarding a packet being affixed to the door and have tried to remove the cover, however, it is a firm seal and do not want to tear it. The door does not open and have taken photo's of the back and would be interested in your comments. I would be very surprised if this was a copy. Do you have a photo of yours or a pkt to go on the door??

 Hi Bacco,

yours is 100% right, looks like Doncaster soot on the back. I seem to remember there being a couple of versions of this sign. The one I had, had a packet attatched, sadly I don't have an image. Might be able to get one- If I can I will forward it to you.

I know several of the various signs from this find, had packs removed- probably done at the time.

Hi rustytins,

Thanks for identifying the Doncaster "Soot", as I thought it was from my own chimmneys !! Anyway, if you do come across a packet for the showcard, it would be appreciated.
